Teacher Assistant

Purpose

Support a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment for students while assisting teachers in classroom management, lesson delivery, and student development.

The role is about helping teachers deliver quality education, supporting student growth and wellbeing, ensuring a safe environment, and assisting families, all while embodying ISP’s values of care, inclusion, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and individualized or group instruction.

• Monitor and support students during class and non-classroom times (lunch, excursions, etc.).

• Track and document student progress, communicate with parents, and address student issues.

• Maintain classroom safety, discipline, and organization.

• Participate in faculty meetings, training, and school events.

• Provide additional support for expat families (housing, insurance, banking, transport, etc.).

• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong English communication; Vietnamese is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

• Classroom management, curriculum knowledge, lesson planning, adaptability, empathy, patience, cultural awareness.

• Positive, compassionate attitude and clean criminal record.
