Personal Insurance Advisor
Summary
The Personal Insurance Advisor serves as a trusted partner to personal lines clients, managing a portfolio of accounts while delivering tailored insurance strategies. This role balances client advocacy, sales growth, and long-term account retention, with a strong emphasis on independent judgment, strategic recommendations, and building profitable client relationships for CRS Insurance Brokerage.
- Act as a trusted advisor to personal insurance clients by managing a portfolio of accounts independently
- Assess client risk exposures and recommend tailored insurance solutions
- Drive new business growth while retaining and strengthening existing client relationships
- Support long-term profitability and growth for the brokerage through strategic advising and carrier negotiation
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for personal lines clients
- Identify coverage gaps and design comprehensive insurance programs
- Manage policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and remarketing efforts
- Resolve client concerns related to claims, billing, and coverage with sound judgment
- Prospect, market, and secure new personal insurance business
- Prepare and present insurance proposals and negotiate favorable terms with carriers
- Meet established sales, retention, and service goals
- Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to departmental initiatives
- Active Property & Casualty Producer license (required)
- Minimum 3 years of personal insurance sales or account management experience
- Strong knowledge of personal lines coverage, underwriting rules, and carrier guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
- Preferred: ACSR, CISR, AAI, or comparable designations
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proven success in new business production and account retention
Total Rewards
Reports to: Director of Business Development
Salary Range: $67,500–$87,500 annually, subject to experience, education, and professional designations
