Summary
Optum, a global healthcare and technology organization, is hiring a Part-Time Senior Tech Support Specialist to support internal and external users with technical issues. You will play a key role in ensuring systems, hardware, and applications run smoothly, supporting users through troubleshooting, setup, and technical guidance. Remote work is available for qualified U.S.-based candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support via phone and chat in a 24/7 help desk environment
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues
Set up, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
Assist users with Microsoft Office and common desktop software
Support video conferencing tools and on-site technical needs when required
Track incidents, service requests, and inventory accurately
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams
Educate end users on resolving common IT problems independently
High School Diploma or GED (or higher)
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT or technical support role
At least 6 months of experience with Microsoft Office support
Ability to work overnight shifts
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to pass background checks and obtain/maintain security clearance
Willingness to complete Defense Health Agency eQuip Form (SF86)
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of call center customer service experience
Healthcare industry experience
